Other Section of Full Menu

The Other section of the Full Menu provides a list of commonly used commands, not listed in other sections of this menu. These commands allow you to access several other areas within your Skyware System, such as the Housekeeping Menu, the Files Menu and the Other Front Desk tasks Menu, as well as, if your Property utilizes them, menus for our Sales and Catering or Point of Sale modules. Any command followed by "=>" indicates that the command is a link providing access to features within another area of Skyware.

 

 

The commands available from the Other section include:

Other section of the Full Menu

Reservations =>: Link providing access to the Reservations Menu area of Skyware Systems, which contains your features typically used by reservations personnel for individual guest and group business, including making or modifying reservations, copying or canceling reservations, or scheduling activities associated with said reservations.

Sales and Catering =>: Link providing access to the Sales and Catering Menu area allowing users of the Skyware Systems' Sales and Catering Module to access the features of Skyware specifically for Sales and Catering staff, in four distinct categories. Features are classified into Selling Tools, Groups, Sales Reports and Catering Reports, allow you to manage your functions or events in a concise, cohesive manner. If your Property does not currently have our Sales and Catering Module and you are interested in adding it, please contact us at  Sales@SkywareSystems.com.

Point of Sale (POS) =>: Link providing access to the Point of Sale (POS) Menu area for staff, allowing users of the Skyware Systems' Point of Sale (POS) Module to access the commands that provide access to the features used to create and update checks for the food and beverage service areas of the Property. It also allows the running of various Point of Sale (POS) system reports. If your Property does not currently have our Point of Sale System and you are interested in adding it, please contact us at  Sales@SkywareSystems.com.

Activities => : Link providing access to the Activities Menu section of Skyware Systems, allowing users of the Skyware Systems' Spa & Activities Module to access the commands necessary to allow the scheduling of guests for specific activities, and commands for the various reports on provided activities. If your Property does not currently have our Spa & Activities Module and you are interested in adding it, please contact us at  Sales@SkywareSystems.com.

Housekeeping =>: Link providing access to the Housekeeping Menu area, which contains commands that provide access to features typically used by housekeepers and housekeeping managers.

NOTE: Many of the commands located in the Housekeeping Area are duplicated elsewhere in the system, particularly in the Status area of the Full Menu. Since these commands are used by the housekeeping segment of the staff, they are consolidated under Housekeeping for ease of use.

Files =>: Link providing access to the Files Menu area, which allows you to access, add, or modify File cards and contacts.  File cards can be companies that do Group business, Travel Agents, Contacts or Contact Groups, Condos, or Companies with Negotiated Rates at your Property, and you can view, add, or modify contacts within the system. This area also access to the Accounting area for companies/guests that have direct billing established with Accounts Receivables.

Batch Check In / Auto Room Assignment: This command allows you to search/filter for a list of specific reservations to automatically assign room numbers (based on the room type and availability for the length of the guest's stay), and then automatically check in the guest (convert the RESV status to FOL (folio) status).

Batch Check Out: This command allows you to search/filter for a list of specific folios (stays that are in-house) to automatically check the guests out and print their statements. Automatically checking out stays converts the FOL (folio/in-house) status to a HIST (history) status.

Note: Be advised that this can only be done if there is a valid credit card or direct bill number associated with the stay.

Guest Information: This command opens the Guest Information screen, which lists all guest information records. A guest information record (also sometimes called a guest account) contains detailed information for an individual and needs to exist within the system in order to create a Stay record (reservation). Once you have a guest record in Skyware Systems, the information on the guest can be accessed and edited from the Guest Information screen at any point.

Other => (Other Front Desk Tasks) : Link providing access to the Other Front Desk Tasks Menu area, which contains features that are typically used by reservations or front desk personnel, such as the Diary (equivalent to a Front Desk Log book), Staff Reader Board (an area where any messages, updates or important notes are displayed for your staff to see) or your Lost and Found (which allows you to track any items that have been lost at your Property).

Log Off (from the system): Selecting the Log Off command immediately logs you out of Skyware and returns you to the log In screen. This command may also be found at the bottom of the Quick Menu, and at the bottom of the Housekeeping Menu.
